This puppet was inexpensive and had very realistic fur. Also the limbs and mouth moved very well and also looked realistic. However there are a few things that leave the puppet looking a little bit unrealistic and fake. First is bad eye location. Second is that mine had a crooked nose
Third is the seam running down the groundhog’s back. Overall, I am VERY VERY happy with this puppet and I am impressed with all of folkmanis’ puppets, they are all very beautiful and charming

My 6 mo. old Golden Retriever “surprised” me with 2x of these for my upcoming Groundhog’s Day birthday. Finish quality is exceptional. Of all the stuffed toys we’ve purchased for her, this is easily the one of the highest quality, durability, “fun factor” and overall satisfaction. Highly recommended for pets including and up to large-breed dogs.
For fellow dog-owners, in one night this become her favourite toy to bring to bed/kennel and upon which we find her resting in the morning, replacing the “lone survivor” teddy-bear that has survived her onslaught since bringing her home at 8 weeks.

My wife’s favorite day is Groundhog’s Day (don’t ask me why . . . I have absolutely NO ideea.) Anyway, I was looking everywhere for a stuffed groundhog and I saw this one and jumped all over it. This has to be the most realistic groundhog puppet I have ever seen. The nice thing is that it can be used as a puppet or it has a wide enough base that it can be displayed as a stuffed animal without falling over. If you are looking for a realistic groundhog for any age, this is the one. Don’t settle for cheap imitations . . . this is Punxsutawney approved and a Phil favorite. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic puppet. Very realistic looking, great material, plush, and overall great product. My 6 month old loved it and laughed hysterically at it! my new friend, phillipe dufeb, was the hit of the groundhogs’ day party i went to yesterday. the host bonded so completely with her that i feel rather obliged to get her one for her st pattys b.d. gift. this groundhog is squishy and soft and you can make the mouth move and everything.
